Early Spring Thoughts...Journal Entry

Even though it is not officially spring yet, it feels like it as my tulips and primroses are in bloom... This morning i was up and about by 0830 hrs., the sun was briefly out, the temperature about 60 degrees (F) or so... After unchaining my dog for the day (only chain him while i sleep) because he'll massacre the neighborhood cats or bark by my bedroom window sometimes. The past few days its been raining, also dark and dreary, which makes me feel dark and dreary, in December i purchased a colorful, cheerful "modern style" Tiffany table lamp, from HSN, delivered to my door for only $150.00, it helps to cheer my mood up on dark days... Well enough on the weather, after breakfast i logged on the internet for the days news, somewhat depressing. The dow industrials fell below 7,000 the lowest since 1997 and AIG reported its largest 4th quarter loss in history 61.7 billion, fortunately i've never been big on investing in the stock market. I know it will take a few years even with the Obama financial stimulus plan to start the economy moving on the up side. Its been over a month since i faxed President Obama his "inaugural" verse, still have not heard from the White House, yes i know the president has alot on his agenda... Later in the day i'll have a few rum and coke drinks, this should cheer me up, as Winston Churchill the British statesman did the "same" plus smoked cigars' but his vise was scotch and brandy, yet he lived to be a ripe old age of 90 years, as for me, i have not been sick in years, "my advise" moderation in everything ...
