Concerning President Ford 'Mystery Letter' 1976
Some past statements are by Mr. Temme, but curious to note and mention was Herr Temme's association with the ASC, (American Security Council) pertaining to to the gathering of useful intelligence information, at 'the time' was America's top 'cold war' spy, including his correspondence with Patricia Hearst in the 1970s while she was serving time at the Pleasanton Correctional Prison in California for her forced association with the SLA. Later by the FBI 'labled' a terrorist organization, again slow on intelligence, a few 'steps behind' according to Mr. Temme. Mr. Temme's correspondence was "most useful" for general information and later helped Ms. Hearst in her recovery from her 'forced' SLA capture during her prison incarceration, in some respects similar to the Cleveland, Ohio kidnappings revealed recently in 2013, but now back in time...
In November 1978, Congressman Leo Ryan (California) who was a friend of Ms. Hearst and her family was assassinated.
Leo Ryan was in Guyana gathering information for a Congressional Subcomittee on the Peoples Temple Church (a cult church) when Mr. Ryan was ruthlessly assassinated by some of Reverand Jim Jones followers. Congressman Ryan had visited Ms. Hearst in prison on numerous occasions, he was the 'driving force' in acquiring her future release from prison in early 1979 in a communted sentence by then President Carter.
Father Ted Dumke a Catholic priest and friend of the Hearst family, had also visited Ms. Hearst in prison on numerous occasions, (in a known letter) credited Mr. Temme with helping Ms. Hearst through her "darkest period" in prison. Mr. Temme to date declines to give any interviews on the topic... In a press release in 2000 for his book "Dieter Hess" later, newly revised. Mr. Temme stated about Ms. Hearst, "at that time in our lives, we both were going through difficult times, our friendship was unique, she's a classy lady inside and outside."
Mr. Temme denies having had any influence on President Carter's "decision" to release Ms. Hearst early from her prison sentence, in early February 1979.

As for other past floating "rumors" about Mr. Temme's connection with the Ford Administration and the gathering of "intelligence information" for the American Security Council (ASC) concerning a "mystery letter" he forwarded to President Ford in October 1976 via Senator Proxmire (concerning the Soviet Union and a young KGB Vladimir Putin) are speculated rumors. In the spring of 1977, Mr. Temme visited Frau Wolf's guest haus, in Mutters Austria, an alleged KGB connection for operatives. Mr. Temme had no comment but stated: "mostly rumors, those moments in time are private and are not public, at least yet"...
