Journal/Memoir Entry...Obama

This morning the temperature was about 44 degrees, at sunrise...light rain in the forecast... After finishing my breakfast of coffee, wheat toast on ham sandwich, i logged on the internet for the current news. Most of the news was about the new president, President Obama... I personally believe Mr. Obama has the "right vision" for America, but will he have the "right answers" ? Flashback to January 1977, after President Carter took office in the White House. Mr. Carter also had a new vision, especially on energy and the sluggish economy. If my memory serves me correct the public at large did not want to "sacrifice" or be frugal, or "conserve" on energy or use new energy technologies. Thus by the end of President Carter's term the "press" and media were attacking Mr. Carter and his policies, like "vultures" going for the kill... I truly hope the public and the press will be more humane and less "fickle" this time around, in my view to turn the economy around, will take "several years" not months... Well enough politics, last night i was inspired to write a verse about President Obama, titled: "Inaugural" later i will publish it on my web page under author...(Post date) Jan/26/09/ As having a direct fax line to the White House, i faxed the verse to President Obama i hope it meets with his approval...
