Journal Entry:Topic Afghanistan

Today being saturday, was up and about by 0830 hrs. even though i did not get to bed until 0330 hrs. in the morning... did some yard work in the morning, as a winter storm is due in later in the evening, but today the temperature was around 65 degrees and sunny...reviewed my email received for the day, one from Senator John McCain about his appearance on ABC's "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos (Obama's lap dog) this sunday morning concerning President Obama's plan to send more troops to Afghanistan. This should be interesting as George and John are ultra opposites in political and moral beliefs... My personal view is that Afghanistan is a lost cause, as the people in the region are "savages" wasting more American lives for nothing (like our unnecessary war in Vietnam) but then again the Democratic Party in general has the tendacy to be war mongers for useless and immoral wars... (Note): The President Kennedy and Johnson Administrations have the blood of the Vietnam War still on their hands.The solution in Afghanistan in my view is a "containment war" using predator missiles a remote control warfare with a full "support occupation" by American/NATO forces in the Afghanistan capital only, let America and NATO make Kabul the shinning star... thus letting the surrounding terrorists and "savages" see the future possibilities of a "western-ized" way of life, but with the Islamic traditions and customs...
